e.l.f. Lavender Face Primer

I’ll admit I didn’t used to wear face primer as much as I probably should have. I don’t wear makeup much, but I do like to doll up for parties and special events.

I’ll spend an entire hour perfecting my makeup and I’ll leave my home feeling like Beyonce. Everything looks perfect. My eyeliner is strongly winged, my eyebrows are beyond fleeky, and my contour has my bone structure looking awesome. Everything is running smooth until I spend an hour outdoors. I was blessed with fairly clear skin, but cursed with oily pores.

To solve the problem of my midday shine issues, I was started to include primer into my routine. No one wants a face full of greasy makeup, it ruins the entire look. I don’t know about you, but I like my face to be as matte as possible.

Months ago, I was doing my monthly shopping spree on Amazon and I saw the Lavender Tone Adjusting Face Primer by E.l.f.. I’ve used a face primer before, but it did not agree with my skin and left me in hives. Yikes! When I strolled past this particular product I was extremely skeptical. One reason was because of the ridiculously low price and another was my remembrance of my past experience. When my Amazon box hit my doorstep the first thing that I did was do a skin test on my wrist to see how it would react with my skin. After watching Transformers Prime with my son and cooking dinner I did a skin test and I was in the clear.

The next day before running my errands I applied the e.l.f primer first before applying my daily mineral powder. The application of the product itself was really smooth. The purpose of the e.l.f toning primers are to reduce unwanted skin discolorations. Sneezing is something that I do daily due to year around allergies, therefore my nose and my eyes are constantly red. This particular tinted primer instantly reduces the redness which was a plus. Four hours passed from when I left my home to when I came back and guess what? My skin was no where near as oily as it usually would be after long day out in fairly warm temperatures. I was impressed and I definitely wanted to buy more.
